How to become an ALTO Member

Be a leader, join
ALTO's Global Community of Industry professionals and get access to our
top-level calendar of seminars, networking events and industry information.
ALTO Membership is open to businesses, associations and the leaders of those
organisations involved in language and/or educational travel.1. Register online, follow the easy steps to submit your initial application. Once you have completed the online registration form, the Association Manager will contact you with further information on the full application process. You can also download the application here: 2. Submit the following documents: - Filled membership form
- Two existing Full Members' recommendation
The Association Manager will contact you with the entry criteria you need to meet in order to join the association.
Annual Membership Fees for ALTO are listed below:- Full Members 1,400 EUR
- Associate Trading Members 1,400 EUR
- Associate Non-Trading Members 300 EUR
For NEW members* joining the association there is a first year pro rata membership fee reduction as per the table below:

*NEW member is an organisation that hasn't held ALTO membership in the past 2 years. The pro rata membership fee doesn’t apply to organisations whose membership has lapsed. New members will be invoiced for the full amount of the membership fee from the following January.The pro rata membership fees are only available to Full and Associate Trading members. Associate Non-Trading members have a reduced annual 300 EUR membership fee available all year round.How to pay your membership feePlease see our bank information Not sure which membership category you fit?Here are the descriptions of the three membership categories within ALTO: - Full Membership is for language travel agencies and schools engaged in sending and/or receiving students for "in country" language courses. Each Full Member organisation has one vote at the Annual General Meeting.
- Associate Trading Membership is for domestic language schools, language course providers, publishers, and other organisations that supply auxiliary services to language travel agencies, operators, and schools. This category is non-voting.
- Associate Non-Trading Membership is for organisations such as language teachers' associations, trade associations, official recognition bodies, and accreditation agencies.
